About ILSI
Who ILSI is, how it is governed, and why an international membership institution is needed to protect migrant workers across the Home-to-Home journey.
The International Legal Support & Investment institution (ILSI) exists because labour migration is one of the most consequential journeys a person can make, and too often the least protected. Millions of workers leave home for jobs abroad on the strength of a verbal promise and a stack of paperwork they may not fully understand. ILSI was founded to close that protection gap with a single, continuous membership that follows a worker from the moment they consider migrating until the day they reinvest their earnings back home.
What we do
ILSI organises its work around four pillars: Legal Protection, Safe Labour Mobility, Responsible Investment, and National Development. Together they cover the full "Home-to-Home" journey — preparation before departure, legal protection during overseas employment, and reintegration and investment support on return.
Our founding pilot runs in Nepal, with active labour corridors to the GCC states, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea (under the EPS scheme) and the United Kingdom. Learn more about who we are, how ILSI is governed, and how we hold ourselves accountable through public reporting and complaints handling.

Who We Are
ILSI is an international membership institution founded to protect migrant workers across the full labour-migration journey, from home to home.
The ILSI Difference
ILSI is built as one continuous membership across the whole migration journey, not a patchwork of separate services — that continuity is what sets it apart.
