ILSI Signs Partnership Agreements to Strengthen Corridor Support

ILSI has signed a series of partnership agreements intended to expand its capacity across pre-departure orientation, legal aid referral and ethical recruitment standards work, the organisation announced today.

New agreements

The agreements include an implementation partnership with Kathmandu Valley Skills Trust to expand vocational orientation sessions ahead of departure, a legal aid referral agreement with Crescent Legal Aid Network to strengthen paralegal capacity supporting ILSI's Gulf-region legal panel, and a standards partnership with the Gulf Ethical Employment Alliance to promote the Employer Pays Principle among Gulf-based employers.

ILSI has also formalised a multi-year funding agreement with Bridgeworth Charitable Foundation to support core helpline and legal casework costs, and a co-financing arrangement with Nordic Solidarity Fund covering pre-departure orientation and reintegration programming under the Nepal pilot.

Why partnerships matter

"No single organisation can cover every part of this journey alone," said Elizabeth Marsh-Kandel, ILSI's Chief Executive. "These partnerships let us concentrate on what ILSI does best — legal protection and policy evidence — while working with organisations that bring deep, complementary expertise in vocational training, legal aid delivery and employer engagement."

ILSI said further partnership announcements, including agreements under its memoranda of understanding with the Nepal-UK Labour Mobility Council and the Gulf Cooperation Employment Standards Forum, would follow as implementation details are finalised.
